As emergency services rushed to a major UK city, police blocked a busy road and quickly formed a large cordon.

Police swarmed Drymen Road in Bearsden, an affluent town at the north-western tip of Greater Glasgow and about six miles from the city centre. While the road was closed to traffic by officials, a large cordon was also pulled. The nature of the incident remains unclear. The Daily Express has contacted Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service for comment.
