Family‑Run Gang Trapped Wealthy Women

Sensational facts emerged during the investigation of a gang allegedly trained within a family to target and extort wealthy women and young girls.
Police said the accused Koduri Chandrasekhar Azad alias Arjun was undergoing surgery in Hyderabad, while his elder brother Rajiv was working in Bengaluru. Both, natives of Chalamalamudi in Vatticherukuru mandal of Guntur district, were helped by their cousin Udit Karthik, their mother Meena Kumari and their mistress Vinil Choudary.
Arjun and Rajiv, who were detained for four days, admitted that they posed as rich men on social media to attract victims. They allegedly took them into luxury cars and sexually assaulted them, recorded these actions with spy cameras, and then blackmailed them for money.
Police said Meena Kumari and her partner Taraka Prashanth played key roles. A case of extortion involving a minor came to light and the gang collected ₹13 lakh. During interrogation, Prashanth and Vinil revealed the names of two youths, Jitender of Jagadgirigutta and N. Hemanth of Kesamudram, who were also arrested. While eight people have been detained so far, others, including Meena Kumari’s aides Saraswati Nishanth and Sreejith, are still at large.
Special teams were formed to catch more suspects in line with the information obtained from the seized mobile phones and laptops. Police said some victims did not want to file complaints and investigators were seeking legal advice on suo motu.
Girl helping with household chores arrested for theft of ₹ 19 lakh
Jubilee Hills crime squad arrested a house servant, her minor daughter and a youth for stealing ₹ 19 lakh from a businessman’s house. Police said Rs 8 lakh of the stolen amount has been recovered.
The accused, identified as Saidamma from Nalgonda district, had been working with her 17-year-old daughter at businessman Ajay’s house in MLA MP Colony, Jubilee Hills, for three years. Holding a grudge against the family for allegedly mistreating them, Saidamma and her daughter planned the theft along with their friend Devakumar alias Chintu (22), who lives in Borabanda.
In the first week of March, Saidamma allegedly stole ₹19 lakh from Ajay’s locker. Suspicious of his workers, Ajay laid a trap by planting ₹40,000 in the house on April 25. Their suspicions were confirmed when the duo tried to take the money. The daughter later returned the money and confessed.
The duo eloped soon after, prompting Ajay to file a complaint. During interrogation, the accused admitted that he gifted a bicycle and an iPhone to Devakumar with the stolen money.
Saidamma and Devakumar were sent to Chanchalguda jail while the minor was sent to a children’s home, police said. Efforts are continuing to find the remaining stolen money.

Initially, investigators suspected that the gang was heading to Hyderabad based on the bike number. However, further investigation showed that the plates were deliberately used to divert the probe.
