Three US Navy destroyers passed under fire through the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump said on Thursday, May 7, adding that the American destroyers were not damaged but “significant damage was inflicted on the Iranian attackers”. “Three World Class American Destroyers passed very successfully under fire through the Strait of Hormuz. There was no damage to the three Destroyers, but major damage was inflicted on the Iranian aggressors,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “They were completely destroyed, along with a large number of smaller boats,” he said.
