Vaibhav Sooryavanshi Becomes Fastest Batter to Slam 100 Sixes in T20I

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi created history by becoming the fastest and youngest player to hit 100 sixes in men’s T20 cricket, achieving the milestone in just 29 innings. He was also the fastest player to reach the target in terms of balls faced, reaching this point with just 514 deliveries.

The youngster from Rajasthan Royals achieved this feat in RR’s Indian Premier League match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on Saturday night.

Facing Mohammed Siraj, Sooryavanshi started aggressively, hitting the first ball he faced and hitting a massive six over long off. He continued his attacking display throughout the powerplay and scored 36 off just 16 balls with three fours and three sixes. Siraj eventually dismissed him after an entertaining battle.

Sooryavanshi emerged as the leading run-scorer for Rajasthan Royals in the 2026 IPL season, scoring 440 runs at an average of 40.00 and a strike rate of 236.55 in 11 innings. His tally includes a century and two half-centuries.

In the match, half-centuries from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan and late improvement from Washington Sundar took Gujarat Titans to 229/4 in 20 overs at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

After being introduced to bat by RR stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal, who replaced the injured Riyan Parag, GT crossed the 200-run mark thanks to Gill’s 84 off 44 balls, Sudharsan’s 55 off 36 balls and Sundar’s unbeaten 37 off 20 balls.
