Nichols, a teacher at Alexander High School, is accused of having sex with a student twice; the first at a school locker on April 23 and the first in a Hummer parked in a residential driveway on May 2.
The Douglas County School System tells 11Alive it is investigating allegations involving a person associated with Alexander High School. In a letter sent to parents, the district said it was “deeply troubled” by the allegations.

“Upon learning of the alleged misconduct, the district immediately initiated an investigation,” the letter states. “The Douglas County School System will continue to cooperate fully with state and local law enforcement. The district cannot provide additional information regarding the allegations. Further inquiries should be directed to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.”
