Iran response to US focuses on ‘ending war, maritime security’: Report

Tehran: Iran has submitted its response to the latest US proposal to end regional conflict and ensure maritime security, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported on Sunday.

According to the report, the response was conveyed to the Pakistani mediator after Tehran completed expert-level internal reviews of the American framework prepared in response to Iran’s previous 14-article proposal.

ISNA said Iran’s response focused primarily on “an immediate cessation of the war” and “the restoration of maritime security” in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

The current phase of negotiations remains limited to discussions on ending hostilities and resolving the broader regional crisis, with intensified diplomatic efforts to stabilize sea routes and prevent further tensions, the report said.
