Right-wing extremist who called for ‘killing small boat migrants’ admits terror offences | UK | News

The far-right extremist, who called for the “killing of immigrants when they arrive on their boats”, admitted to terrorism crimes.
Ivan Jennings, 46, of Stafford, appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Monday to admit encouraging terrorism between August 15 and November 14, 2024.
He also pleaded guilty to disseminating a terrorism-related publication, Anders Breivik’s manifesto dated August 21, 2024.
Standing in the dock in a dark suit and purple tie, Jennings denied possessing a document called Brenton Tarrant’s Great Change dated November 14, 2024, but Judge Andrew Lockhart KC said that issue would be on file at sentencing.
A court previously heard Jennings was a member of a number of far-right social media chat groups, including Telegram.
He encouraged others to imitate Christchurch terrorist Tarrant and discussed Molotov cocktails and “the killing of migrants as they arrived on their boats”, barrister Lee Ingham told the Old Bailey in January.
Judge Lockhart said Jennings will be sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on September 4.
The defendant, who spoke only to confirm his identity and make his defense, was released on conditional bail.
