Newly released surveillance footage shows the harrowing moment a Frontier Airlines jet shot and killed a man wandering on the runway at Denver International Airport late Friday night.

Radio traffic records obtained by KDVR reveal the chilling statement made by first responders after the crash.
“Runway 17L is closed,” one first responder reportedly said. “I have limbs on the runway. I think the plane hit a person.”

Authorities said that 12 people were injured in the accident, and 5 people were injured and taken to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet announced the identity of the person hit by the plane.
“As for security protocols, our security teams and Denver Police regularly patrol the airport perimeter. The individual climbed the barbed wire and was shot within two minutes,” a Denver Airport spokesperson told Fox News Digital.
Denver International Airport later issued an update to X stating that it “inspected the fence line and found it to be intact.”
