Trump invites Elon Musk, Tim Cook, Larry Fink for Xi China summit

President Donald Trump invited executives from some of the largest companies in the United States. Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk Apple CEO Tim Cook BlackRock’s CEO Larry Fink and Boeing’s CEO Kelly Ortberg will participate in a trip to China this week, according to a White House official.

He is also expected to join Trump’s delegation for talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Blackstone’s Stephen Schwarzman, Cargill’s Brian Sikes, Citigroup Jane Fraser, Cisco’s Chuck Robbins, consistent Jim Anderson, GE Aerospace H. Lawrence Culp Jr., Goldman Sachs David Solomon, Illumina’s Jacob Thaysen, Mastercard Michael Miebach, Meta Platforms director Dina Powell McCormick, Micron Technology Sanjay Mehrotra, Qualcomm Cristiano Amon and Visa The official said Ryan McInerney spoke on condition of anonymity because the list has not been released.

The executives will join Trump during the trip, where he said he hopes to make a number of business deals and purchase deals with Beijing.

The summit agenda is expected to cover trade, artificial intelligence, export controls, Taiwan and the Iran war, with both sides expected to attend talks after weeks of rising tensions.
