Princess Catherine will travel abroad this week with a solo visit to Reggio Emilia in northern Italy. The visit will be the 44-year-old’s first trip abroad since 2023 and his first since being diagnosed with cancer in early 2024.

When is Princess Kate going to Italy?

Princess Catherine will arrive in Italy on May 13 and will stay there until May 14.

She will be traveling alone, without her husband Prince William.

The future King will remain in the UK to look after the couple’s three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8.

Why is Princess Kate going to Italy?

Catherine, who announced she was in recovery at the beginning of last year, will travel to Italy on a solo study trip with the Royal Foundation Early Childhood Centre.
