MPs ‘may well’ tell Starmer to quit, health minister says | News

The health secretary has said members of Sir Keir Starmer’s cabinet “may well” tell him to resign on Tuesday, May 12.

It emerged that more than 70 MPs had publicly called on the prime minister to resign or set a timetable for his departure, while four MPs had left their post as deputy ministers following a poor performance in local elections.

It seems news night Stephen Kinnock said on Monday (May 11) that Sir Keir could be asked to resign when cabinet members meet for their weekly meeting on Tuesday.

“It’s clear to everyone that a lot of people want Keir to resign or whatever it is, and it’s possible that Cabinet members might do that as well.”
