When are this summer’s London Tube strikes and what lines are affected?

Londoners are bracing for further cuts to tube services next week after London Underground drivers announced they will stage another round of strikes.

Disruption is expected on all metro lines as members of the Railway, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) plan a 24-hour work stoppage starting from midday on May 19 and May 21.

It follows two strikes last month over the union’s disagreement over TfL proposals, which include a four-day working week as well as changes to shift length and annual leave.

RMT commissioner Jared Wood previously said: “TfL needs to make changes to its proposals to resolve this dispute.

“There is absolute consensus among our members that we must fight against these proposals.”

If the dispute is not resolved, a new round of strikes is planned for June.
