Multiple people seriously injured in bus crash as helicopters arrive on scene
Several people have been injured and two people have life-threatening injuries in a bus crash in north Queensland.
Emergency services were called to a vehicle with 29 people inside at 4pm on the Bruce Highway in Gumlu, about 90 minutes south of Townsville.
The Queensland Ambulance Service said everyone on board was being assessed for injuries.
Two people’s lives are in danger.
Helicopters flew from Mackay and Townsville and the first patients were transported to hospital just after 5pm.
Police confirmed officers were at the scene but said details of the crash had not yet been confirmed.
