Seethakka Says Govt Committed to Resolving Grievances at Field Level

-Warangal: Panchayat raj minister Seethakka on Thursday said while addressing a ‘Praja Darbar’ at Laxmipuram village of Kannaigudem mandal in Mulugu district, the state government is committed to resolving people’s grievances at the field level.

Residents from 10 villages, including Tupakulagudem, Laxmipuram, Rajannapet and Muppanapalli, filed petitions during the program organized as part of the 99-day ‘Praja Palana’ plan. Minister, ITDA project officer Lenin Vatsal Toppo, ASP Manan and additional collector Ch. Mahendar ji received the applications.

He said the initiative had received a strong public response because it brought governance closer to the people. He stated that the conduct of such programs in backward areas like Kannaigudem mandal reflects a shift towards proactive management.

The minister said officials visit remote villages to solve the problems of the rural poor without them having to go to government offices. He added that some complaints were resolved on-site, while others involving technical issues were processed within established timelines to ensure transparency.

He said authorities and public representatives must work together “like a pair of oxen” to achieve rural development.

The minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of development works worth around Rs 3.4 million in the mandal, including a gram panchayat building in Laxmipuram and internal CC roads and drainage works.

It has launched a road project estimated to be worth Rs 1.45 crore from Boregudem to ST Colony, aiming to improve connectivity for tribal settlements.

The Minister instructed officials to prioritize petitions received during the program and ensure that applicants are informed about the status of their cases.
