The Princess of Wales wrapped up her first royal tour in Italy in nearly four years today, and royal fans had something to say. Princess Catherine spent two days in Reggio Emilia to learn more about an innovative approach to educating young children developed in the country.

During her trip, Catherine visited schools and spoke to teachers, parents and children.

After completing the two-day study tour, Catherine thanked the people of Reggio Emilia for a “deeply moving and unforgettable time.”
In a message written by the priest and posted on his social media accounts, he said: “Over the past two days in Reggio Emilia, I have seen firsthand the power of nature and creativity that puts human connection at the center of a child’s world.
“I had a fascinating and unforgettable time here. I would like to thank the people of Reggio Emilia for so warmly and generously welcoming me into this culture of care.
“Our collective work in early childhood should be to preserve and nurture the connections that form the foundations of lifelong well-being.”
He finished his speech with the words “Grazie di cuore” in Italian: Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
