TN CM Vijay Discusses Industrial Growth, Investments With CII Representatives

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay met CII representatives at the Secretariat on Friday and discussed the overall industrial growth of the state, officials said. It was stated that the meeting also focused on investment promotion and policy support, measures to facilitate start-ups, sustainable economic and industrial development vision and long-term cooperation with the state government.
The meeting holds significance as Vijay interacts with industry leaders and key stakeholders just a few days after assuming office as CM.
Among those present were Confederation of Indian Industry Southern Zone President P Ravichandran, CII Tamil Nadu President C Devarajan, Vice President J Murugavel and former Southern Zone President M Ponnusamy.
In a separate meeting, the CM met senior Yamaha Motor India officials, including Group Chairman Hajime Aota, Corporate Director Atsushi Nagashima and Deputy Director Kumar, officials said.
Vijay appreciated the company’s contribution to Tamil Nadu’s automotive industry and its role in strengthening the state’s export potential.
He also assured the company that the state government would fully support its expansion plans and asked it to continue investing in Tamil Nadu, officials added.
