Anagha KS, a student of Vagdevi School in Tirthahalli, who stood second in the SSLC examination with 624/625 marks, emerged as the State topper after revaluation.
Anagha, daughter of Shivakumar and Mangala, both teachers, had scored 100% in all subjects except Social Sciences, where she got 99. Confident that he deserved full credit, he applied for a revaluation. The revised results came in on Saturday, May 16, 2026, increasing his score to a perfect 625 and placing him at the top of the State.
Thanking his teachers and parents for their support, he said, “I was a little disappointed when I got 99 in Social Sciences. Hoping for an improvement, I applied for revaluation. Finally, my dream of becoming the top student in the state came true.”
However, Anagha expressed some regret. “Both I and the school would have been happier if this recognition had happened when the results were officially announced last month,” he said.
