It is the world’s fourth largest economy, with a population of more than 40 million, and is home to some of the world’s most powerful technology companies. So why aren’t the biggest names in the Democratic party lining up for a chance to govern California? Voting has begun to decide who will replace Governor Gavin Newsom. Democrats are struggling after front-runner Rep. Eric Swalwell left office amid sexual misconduct allegations, and without a blockbuster candidate like Kamala Harris, Democratic voters have been left to navigate a crowded, unstable field of candidates. In this episode, Sarah, Anthony, and Justin discuss why governing California and assessing the risk of Democrats possibly losing the state is problematic. Also, who is the British-born Republican Trump supports and does he have a chance of making it to the November election?
