President Donald Trump, who has just begun his journey to meet face-to-face with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, is considering resuming military action against Iran and will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday.
“Our eyes are also open on Iran,” Netanyahu said Sunday morning, as translated from Hebrew. “I will talk to our friend President Trump today, as I do every few days.
“I will definitely hear his impressions from the trip to China and maybe other topics. There are definitely many possibilities and we are prepared for every scenario.”
Trump will stay at the White House on Sunday, but there are no public or press statements on his schedule.

The call with Netanyahu came amid Fox News’ reporting on regional intelligence assessments of Iran that military strikes may be resumed due to Trump’s frustration with Iran’s tactics when it rejected its request to close the Strait of Hormuz and abandon its nuclear weapons ambitions.
“The prevailing assessment in Iran is that President Trump may resort to resuming military action, and that Tehran is now deliberately pursuing a ‘deception and delay’ strategy in the hope that buying time will make a possible return to war more difficult,” two regional intelligence officials told Fox News.
Intelligence officials speculate that the Iranian regime could delay developments and prolong the crisis for at least another two weeks, making it more difficult for Trump to restart the military campaign, both politically and operationally.
