Donald Trump caused alarm last night when he released an AI-generated image showing him standing next to a handcuffed alien at a US military base.
In the photo published on the Truth Social account on Sunday, Trump and his bodyguards are next to the handcuffed alien.
Trump’s post, made just days after the White House released new UFO files, was harshly criticized by some commentators, although they acknowledged that it was probably meant as a joke.
Investor and mathematician Eric Weinstein shared on X: ‘Maybe it’s ‘real.’ Maybe a fake head. Maybe it’s great AF. Maybe it’s some dorky dad humor. Maybe this is a smart way to prepare the world. And so on…
‘What do I believe in? Here we are clowning around without full and completely unchallenged control of our own National Defense critical military airspace.’

A third went further: ‘Our government tells us only part of the truth and manufactures the rest to drag us all into argument and fight. ‘They will never give up the knowledge or technology that will take away the power.’
Others have read this more charitably as humorous ‘soft propaganda’ that draws attention to the administration’s effort to explain, even if not everyone accepts this rationale.
In the photo published on Truth Social Sunday, the President and guards stand next to the handcuffed extraterrestrial at a US military base.
The image sparked a wave of memes, including a video showing Trump and Elon Musk walking alongside the alien while Jeffrey Epstein led the group.
‘As much as I hate Trump, he is the only president in my lifetime who has the courage to press for a statement. Even though we all know this is a distraction for Epstein,” wrote one X user.
Another said: ‘Personally, I see her post as nothing more than having fun with soft propaganda.’
The image sparked a wave of memes, including a video showing Trump and Elon Musk walking alongside the alien, with Jeffrey Epstein leading the group.
This post follows the Pentagon’s UFO document dump earlier this month, when the administration began releasing a trove of files on so-called ‘unidentified anomalous events’ (UAPs).
‘While previous administrations failed to be transparent on this issue, with these new Documents and Videos the public is wondering ‘WHAT IS GOING ON?’ He can make his own decision. Have Fun and Enjoy!’ Trump wrote on Truth Social as the files were released.
The broadcast included more than 20 military videos featuring unidentified objects, old State Department cables, and NASA transcripts; These included Buzz Aldrin’s description of a ‘pretty bright light source’ on Apollo 11 and an intelligence official’s description of a ‘super hot’ sphere flying above the ground.
Sean Kirkpatrick, former director of the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, warned that the dump ‘will only serve to fuel further speculation, conspiracies and pseudoscience.’

Is Trump’s alien mission a bold effort at government transparency, or just a distracting spectacle?
