‘Dumbest way to die’: US comedian recounts moment her 600lb fridge fell on her | US news

American comedian Laura Clery said that she almost died when a 600-pound refrigerator fell on her while she was at home with her two young children, leaving her trapped under the giant refrigerator and having difficulty breathing.
One instagram In the post published Thursday, Clery said the experience was “the scariest night of my life as a single mom.”
Clery said in the post – and more Comprehensive account posted on Patreon – said he saw his younger son, Alfie, aged seven, climbing onto the wall-mounted refrigerator and seeing it move slightly.
“I ran to push her back in. I thought about pushing her in and going about my day like a woman who has control over her life. The moment I pushed her, she collapsed on top of me,” she said.
HE added: “I couldn’t move, I couldn’t breathe properly, it was impossible to get off, and I could feel myself losing consciousness.
“I’m there, stuck under the refrigerator, and I think that’s the stupidest way for a person to die.”
Luckily, Clery was able to get to her phone and call for help. “I didn’t really know if I was going to make it out of this alive. Thank God I had my phone in my pocket and I was able to call 911,” he said, adding that it took multiple firefighters to lift the refrigerator off him.
Clery was immediately taken to hospital.
Clery was once married to British record producer Stephen Hilton and had two five-year-old children with him, Alfie and Poppy. He has now returned home and is recovering from the incident.
