McLaren strategy mistake haunts Piastri; Mercedes teenager snatches the lead

Broadcast cameras no longer even show McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Both are far behind in the points table.

Norris and Piastri dropped to 13th and 16th after finishing third and fourth respectively.

It’s lap 20 and despite some impressive overtaking attempts from teammate and rival Kimi Antonelli, our race leader is still George Russell.

There’s a resurgent Max Verstappen in third and Lewis Hamilton in fourth, although the seven-time world champion appears to be experiencing issues with his car.

“I don’t have the strength, man,” Hamilton laments on the radio.
