Putin’s top judge and ex-classmate dies after string of ‘mysterious’ deaths in Russia | World | News

Together with Vladimir Putin, a high -level Russian judge has become the last public figure that died in ‘mysterious’ conditions. The death of 71 -year -old Irina Podnosova caused the speculation among Ukrainian commentators that “those who know much about the secrets of the Kremlin elite continue to die”.

Podnosova was the first woman to be appointed as the chief justice of the Russian Supreme Court in April 2024 after Putin was personally recommended. It seems that it has been fighting cancer in recent months, but no official cause of death has been given. Ukrainian Telegram channel Pravda Gerashchenko said: “A series of deaths continue in Russia – Putin classmate, who was appointed as the President of the Supreme Court more than a year ago, died.”

The report added: “The exact reason for Podnosova’s death is not yet known.

“Russian propaganda ‘media’ ‘reported that he died after a serious illness’.

“In Russia, people who know a lot about the secrets of the Kremlin elite continue to die.”

In recent years, dozens of high -level Russian officials have died in mysterious conditions and a few have fallen out of the windows of long buildings.

At the beginning of this month, Andrey Badalov, a 62 -year -old King of Oil, fell from a luxurious penthouse building given as suicide.

Authorities then claimed that there was a suicide grade, but the critics of the regime played a foul.

Putin’s Transportation Minister Roman Starovoit was 53 years old, found dead with several firearms this month. The reason for death was also listed as suicide.

Last year, 58 -year -old war official Marina Yanga, a financial official at the Russian Defense Ministry, fell from the 16th floor of a St Petersburg apartment complex in 2022, while Ravil Maganov, the second largest oil company of Russia, died after the sixth floor of a Moscow hospital.

The regime critics claim that Podnosova’s death is the last of a series of strange deaths. In 2001, the judge shared the details of his time at the university with the Russian leader, where he studied law with KGB Colonel at Soviet University.

He said: orum I remember the last new year – everyone who wore Masquerade costumes and Vladimir bought a modest suit.

“Commented: ‘This is Stiierlitz’s outfit,’ a legendary fictional spy reference.

“On that Christmas night, everyone matched and only Putin left the party alone…

“He didn’t dance in Discos – he just stood next to the wall by talking quietly, we preferred the men who went more.”
