Restore has fielded a candidate to run in the upcoming Makerfield by-election; Andy Burnham could then return to parliament to challenge the prime minister if he can win back Reform votes in the region.

An opinion poll suggested Mr Burnham had a lead of just three percentage points over Reform’s Robert Kenyon.

Restore’s candidate, meanwhile, had seven percentage points, suggesting that the split of the right-wing vote could pose a major problem for Mr Farage.

On Sunday, Mr. Musk reposted a message from Mr. Lowe that included the comment “Rebuild Britain.” He also posted a post titled “Rebuild Britain” in response to an interview by Reform’s Treasury spokesman, Robert Jenrick.

Mr Farage said Mr Burnham would be “delighted” by Mr Musk’s intervention.

He told the Telegraph: “Elon Musk has decided to split the rights to British politics as best he can.

“This is supporting a party created by one man with a social media account. I have no idea what he is trying to achieve.”

The Survation poll, based on 369 respondents likely to vote in the election, puts the mayor of Manchester in the narrow lead with 43 points.

Reform England’s Mr Kenyon is just three points behind with 40 points. Restore Britain appears to have broken the right-wing vote by seven points.

While the Liberal Democrats received 4 percent of the votes, the Green candidate, who has withdrawn from the poll since the day the survey was conducted, received 3 percent of the votes.

Lowe founded Restore last year after he was suspended from Reform UK over allegations he threatened party chairman Zia Yusuf.

He denied the allegations and the Crown Prosecution Service said no criminal charges would be brought against him in relation to the alleged threats against Mr Yusuf.

He said that “millions of British people are on our side” and that “Farage can impudently insult me over and over but he has never been this wrong.”

“Farage has gone to the media to attack Restore Britain again,” Mr Lowe said.

“Elon Musk’s ‘a guy with a social media account’ says he supports his party. This is where Farage is very wrong.”
