Hybrid Mahanadu To Strengthen Cadre, Women Empowerment: Naidu

: Telugu Desam has finalized detailed arrangements for the two-day annual conclave Mahanadu, which will be held in a first-of-its-kind hybrid format at the party headquarters NTR Bhavan in Amaravati from Wednesday.

The event holds political significance as it is the first Mahanadu after education minister Nara Lokesh took over as the working president of the party.
TD national president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu will use the platform to highlight the government’s achievements in the last two years and unveil the roadmap for the next three years.
Naidu on Tuesday asserted that the conclave will serve as an important platform to strengthen grassroots cadre, promote women empowerment and chart a roadmap for future political struggles.
Addressing TD MLAs, MPs, MLCs, senior leaders and grassroots workers through a teleconference ahead of the conclave, Naidu said Mahanadu 2026 will be held virtually on May 27 and 28 at the party’s head office in Mangalagiri. He said the decision was taken keeping in mind the prevailing conditions and in response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to save fuel amid the ongoing West Asian conflict.
The TD chief reminded that the party organized Mahanadu digitally during the Covid-19 pandemic when physical meetings were not possible earlier. He said the party had initially planned to hold a three-day event in Nellore, but later decided to reduce the duration to two days by shifting to a virtual format.
Describing Mahanadu as an emotional and eagerly awaited event for the Telugu people, Naidu said the conclave will be organized through 1,845 cluster units in Andhra Pradesh and it will be one of the largest digital political outreach exercises undertaken by the party. He said the cluster system will not only strengthen the organizational structure but also create opportunities for grassroots employees to emerge as future leaders.
“This is not just a party programme, but a platform that reflects the aspirations of the Telugu people. People are watching Mahanadu carefully to understand the message, policies and future direction of the party,” he said.
Naidu announced that the main theme of this year’s Mahanadu will be “Stree Shakti” and there will be special focus on women empowerment, welfare initiatives and greater participation of women in politics and governance. While state-level leaders are participating in cluster-level programs across the state, large LED screens are being installed at over 1,800 locations to facilitate virtual participation and create a festive atmosphere for party cadres.
The Prime Minister called on elected representatives and office holders to show greater accountability and discipline, arguing that public trust can only be earned through responsible behavior and commitment to public service. He emphasized that the conclave should reaffirm the party’s commitment to the development of Andhra Pradesh and also pay rich tributes to TD founder NT Rama Rao.
According to the programme, Naidu will visit the party headquarters on Wednesday morning, hoist the party flag, pay respects to NTR and honor party workers who sacrificed their lives for the organisation.
The inaugural session will begin with the speech of TD state president Palla Srinivasa Rao, followed by the presentation of the party’s financial accounts and speeches by senior leaders on themes such as women empowerment, Karyakartae Adhinetha (party activist is the leader) and service to the poor.
