Lucky Lotto player wins £2 million jackpot in midweek draw
A lucky ticket holder has won £2 million in a midweek Lotto draw, just days after another player claimed nearly £11 million.
This latest win brings the total number of Lotto millionaires in 2026 to 62; Saturday’s estimated jackpot is around £3.8 million.
Andy Carter, senior winners advisor at National Lottery operator Allwyn, said: “What an incredible night it was for players as tonight’s draw created yet another winner at the nation’s millionaire maker Lotto, as one lucky ticket holder scooped tonight’s stunning £2 million Lotto jackpot prize.”
“This is the second jackpot win in as many days after a lucky Lotto player won the £10.7 million jackpot in Saturday’s draw.”
Mr Carter appealed to players: “Check your tickets and get in touch if you think you might be tonight’s lucky winner.”
Wednesday’s winning numbers in the lotto were 33, 36, 38, 46, 47, 50, while the bonus number was 35.
No player who matched five of six numbers and received a bonus won £1 million, but 36 players who matched five of six numbers were awarded £1,750.
No one won the £350,000 top prize by matching five numbers in Lotto HotPicks, which uses the same numbers as the lotto draw, but three people won £13,000 by matching four.
The winning Thunderball numbers were 04, 12, 20, 26, 36 and the Thunderball was 13.
No one has won £500,000 by matching five numbers plus a Thunderball, but three players have won £5,000 by matching five numbers.
The news came as a grandmother and her two children scored a £1 million lottery win by playing numbers chosen by her late husband years ago.
Retired office manager Rose Tresadern, 80, who lives near Southend in Essex, shared the bonus with her son Barry, 52, and daughter Julie, 57.
The family syndicate continued to play the Lotto numbers (one, four, 12, 15, 39 and the bonus ball 48) belonging to Mrs. Tresadern’s husband, Derek.
Mr Tresadern, a former business analyst, died aged 83 after a brief illness shortly after celebrating his wedding anniversary with Rose last year.
Their dedication paid off in the draw on April 18, when their chosen combination matched five main numbers out of six and the bonus ball. Ms. Tresadern said she felt like Derek Tresadern was “still looking out for us.”
