French Open 2026 results: Katie Boulter’s exit means no British players left in singles

Katie Boulter lost to 28th seed Anastasia Potapova in the deciding set, ending Britain’s interest in singles competition at the French Open.

Francesca Jones also lost in the second round, while Emma Raducanu, Cameron Norrie, Jacob Fearnley and Toby Samuel were eliminated in the first round.

Boulter, who is aiming to make her debut in the third round at Roland Garros, dominated a disorganized opening set that featured seven breaks of serve.

But as Potapova found her rhythm on serve, Boulter broke twice more in each set and the Russian-born Austrian won 5-7 6-4 6-2.

Potapova, who started outside the top 90 on clay court, will face defending champion Coco Gauff in the third round before moving back up to world number 30 and trying to reach the second week of a major for only the second time in her career.

More to follow.
