Paramedics and police officers from the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) received a call around 2:20 p.m. concerning a man who was allegedly injured outside a commercial building located on rue des Adirondacks.

According to initial information, the victim “was injured following the movement of a bus,” explained Laurence Godbout, spokesperson for the SPVQ, in a press release.

The sixty-year-old was transported to a hospital for serious injuries. Later in the evening, the SPVQ clarified that the “injuries suffered by the man raise fears for his life.”

Investigators were deployed on site, as well as the Forensic Identification Unit, to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the accident.

“Since the incident occurred in the workplace, the Commission for Standards, Equity, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST) was also notified,” added the SPVQ.
