DK Shivakumar’s Oath Taking In Line With Austerity Measures: GC Chandrashekar

Bengaluru: The new Chief Minister of Karnataka will take oath on June 3 at the Glass House of Lok Bhavan here, Congress state unit working president GC Chandrashekhar said on Saturday. Addressing a press conference here, the Rajya Sabha member said that initially there was confusion about the venue. It was later decided that it would be held at the Governor’s Mansion. “It was decided that the oath ceremony will be held on June 3.” Chandrashekhar said that the exact time of the oath ceremony will be finalized and announced later in the day.
“The swearing-in ceremony will take place on the 3rd at the Glass House in Lok Bhavan,” he stated.
According to him, there were discussions about booking around 10,000 to 15,000 buses from different parts of the state to bring people to Bengaluru for a large-scale event, but they were canceled keeping in mind the fuel crisis and traffic congestion.
“The oath-taking ceremony should not be extravagant. It should be done as simply as possible and reflect the spirit of work and service rather than ostentation or ostentation. The party has taken a decision and issued instructions to conduct the event in a simple manner,” said Chandrashekhar. he said.
He called on all party workers and supporters to rush to the scene and not cooperate in order to avoid traffic congestion and to prevent the public from being victimized.
