Former NFL star Greg Hardy has faced adversity and adversity in the cage as a mixed martial arts fighter, and on Saturday he once again delivered a knockout blow.
Hardy fought Darko Stosic at Fight Nation Championship 31. It was supposed to be a heavyweight match, but Hardy reportedly missed 25 pounds. He had a 52-pound weight advantage over Stosic, but it didn’t seem that significant.

Stosic started the third round with a brutal left hook that sent Hardy backwards. The former Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers defensive end was unable to see Stosic’s windmill shot, which sent him to the mat. Stosic delivered a giant hammer fist to Hardy’s jaw and the referee walked in and stopped the match.
Stosic was awarded the knockout victory.

This was Hardy’s fourth MMA loss in his last five bouts. Each of these losses came via technical knockout or knockout. He lost his last two fights in the UFC in the first round; one against Tai Tuivasa on July 10, 2021, and the other against Serghei Spivac on March 5, 2022.
He appeared on the Peak Fighting 50 card in January and defeated Philip Latu by unanimous decision. But he had no answer for Stosic.

The Serbian star increased his all-time score to 23-8 with 17 knockouts. He has won six of his last eight fights and is riding a two-fight winning streak. He last defeated Oli Thompson at Fight Nation Championship 27.
