Katie Price will appear in her daughter Princess Andre’s fly-on-the-wall show The Princess Diaries on ITV2, despite it having previously been banned.
The Daily Mail can reveal that the 48-year-old glamor model, who was blocked from appearing in the original series, filmed scenes with the 18-year-old actor this week.
CAN Associates, owned by Katie’s former manager Claire Powell, who now manages both her daughter and ex-husband Peter Andre, had requested that she not appear on the show, according to Katie.
A source said: ‘Katie was filmed with the Princess on Friday. No matter what, the Princess loves her mother.
‘Other family members appear on her show, so why isn’t Katie allowed?’
Katie Price will appear in daughter Princess Andre’s fly-on-the-wall show The Princess Diaries on ITV2 (it was filmed last month) despite being previously banned
In the first series, the Princess’ voice was heard for a moment while she was talking to her mother on the phone. This is despite Peter and his wife Emily MacDonagh, 36, having significant screen time.
Katie fell out with her former manager Claire after her marriage to Peter, 53, ended in 2009.
Despite ruling both sides at the time, Claire remained loyal to Peter and continues to rule him to this day.
She was also the woman who sparked Peter’s comeback after he fell off the celebrity radar following his 1996 hit Mysterious Girl.
During Katie and Peter’s marriage, Claire secured eye-wateringly lucrative deals for the couple, including wedding deals with OK magazine and, ironically, a successful ITV show.
In 2015, Katie settled a privacy claim against Peter and Claire. He claimed that details about his private life were leaked to the press and demanded compensation and injunction from both them and Can Associates Ltd.
Last year, Katie expressed her anger at Claire for being banned from Princess’ show on her own podcast, telling listeners how ‘very upset’ Princess was when she signed with her agency at the age of 16.
He continued: ‘People need to know that when I was with Pete we were both managed by the same management and if they watch our shows and Pete manages Pete before he goes into the jungle they’ll know who he is.
‘He controlled me and Pete’s narrative, the photo shoots, the times we could hold hands; He was the ruler of everything.’
Katie fell out with her former manager Claire, who appeared in the soap, after her marriage to Peter, 53, ended in 2009 (the threesome was filmed in 2007).
Producers’ U-turn on their decision to ban Katie came as support for the mother-of-five, whose life was in crisis after her fourth husband, also named businessman Lee Andrews, disappeared without a trace for two weeks, leaving her worried she had been ‘kidnapped’.
The Daily Mail revealed last weekend that Lee had been arrested and booked into a Dubai prison, according to his father; Katie denied it at the time.
It is understood he was detained for allegations related to a private civil matter.
The first series of The Princess Diaries, which chronicles her struggles and family life as she prepares to embrace adulthood and turn 18, was a hit with viewers and became ITV2’s biggest launch outside of Love Island and Big Brother.
It was recommended twice by program bosses last year and was longlisted in the Reality Documentaries category at this year’s National Television Awards.
