Footage shows masked gunman firing on suburban street

Police released footage of a masked man opening fire in broad daylight on suspicion of targeting a suburban home.
The alleged shooting occurred shortly before 1pm on October 24 on a residential street in Cragieburn, in Melbourne’s north.
Footage released by Victoria Police on Tuesday showed a masked man getting out of a black Land Rover and firing three shots.
Police believe the man targeted a house on Elmwood Place, which was not visible in the footage and which he claimed was vacant at the time.
It is stated that the attacker, whose identity has not yet been determined, is male and was wearing a black hooded sweater, black face mask, balaclava, black tracksuit pants with a gray waist band and black shoes with white soles.
Police said the man fled the scene heading south.
Fawkner Area Response Unit police are continuing to investigate and have released footage to help solve the incident.
