One of nine Alan Jones’ indecent assault accusers withdraws from case
Prosecutors have dropped the case of one of nine accusers of Alan Jones, including accusations that the former broadcaster touched the young man inappropriately more than a decade ago.
Jones, 84, was not in Sydney Downing Center Local Court on Tuesday as his barrister Bryan Wrench signaled one of the charges against his client had been dropped.
Judge Greg Grogin confirmed that the indecent assault charge against Jones would be withdrawn and dismissed.
This was the only charge against a man known only as “Complainer K”, who previously claimed Jones “grabbed her by the ass during an event” in Tamworth between October and November 2013.
While Jones previously pleaded not guilty to 25 counts of indecent assault, he now counts 24 and two counts of sexual contact.
The former talkback broadcaster allegedly harassed young men for two decades, according to the eight remaining complainants.
This is alleged to have happened at the Sydney Opera House and a restaurant on the lower north shore, as well as various Jones homes and former businesses.

Documents previously seen by this imprint showed that the allegations included fondling the penis, fondling the buttocks and squeezing the buttocks. He is also accused of pulling out a man’s testicles and masturbating during an allegedly indecent attack.
Jones is accused of committing the crimes at his former home in Newtown, his harborside flat, his farm at Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands, Tamworth in northern NSW and other locations in Sydney.
Jones has always maintained his innocence.
His hearing in the local court was postponed to August 2026.
