Goa CM’s statement on Mahadayi project is shocking, says H.K. Patil

Minister of Law and Parliament HK Patil, Goa Prime Minister Pramod Sawant’s Goa Legislative Assembly of the Union Minister of Environment and Forestry Minister Bhupendra Yadav’ın reported that the central government of the government will not approve the project.
Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, Patil condemned the treatment of “stepmother” given to Karnataka by the center and “unnecessarily prevented the implementation of the legal and constitutional protected projects of the state.
Interest of farmers
Considering the interests of the people and farmers of North Karnataka, the Minister called the central government immediately to clean the project. The project aimed to meet the drinking water needs of other towns in Hubball-Dharwad and Northern Karnataka.
Goa opposes the unity government’s decision to approve the Kalasa-Banduri projects in Karnataka’s Mahadayi Basin. In 2018, the Mahadayi Water dispute Court decided to dispute the water dispute between the states and the waters of the Mahadi River to Karnataka 13.42 TMCFT, Maharashtra to Goa with 1.33 TMCFT and 24 TMCFT. This was informed by the Union Government in 2020.
Several times, Karnataka called for the necessary cleaning from the Central National Wildlife Board (NBWL) and accelerate the execution of the long -standing project, which is very important to meet the drinking water needs of Northern Karnataka. NBWL held a meeting of 77, 79 and 80, but did not make any decisions, Pat Patil said.
