The 44-year-old man is accused of attacking his elderly father in his own home in March and tying him around his neck.

He will appear in court on July 29 on charges of common assault and persistent stalking.
7NEWS can also reveal that police issued an Violence Arrest Warrant (AVO) against Ahmed to protect his father.
It is stated that Ahmed cannot “attack”, “follow”, “harass” or “establish contact” with his father.
He also needs to stay 100 meters away from where he lives and works.
It comes like this Two of Ahmed’s brothers face charges. They are accused of threatening him over the phone and demanding he pay $100,000 each.
This allegedly happened after a fundraiser created to support Ahmed raised $2.6 million.
Both brothers did not admit their guilt.
7NEWS contacted the family Thursday afternoon, who declined to comment on the AVO or the charges.
