Royal’s stalker arrested after she rushes home to be with ill mother | Royal | News

Norwegian Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra was arrested before the court on Wednesday. The 22-year-old girl returned to Norway from Australia after learning that her mother’s health condition was deteriorating.

His arrest came just minutes after he was served with an violent arrest warrant (AVO). He was arrested outside the Courthouse Hotel yesterday after getting into a fight with a Daily Telegraph photographer.

A police spokesman confirmed to the Daily Mail that the man had been arrested. They said: “At around 10.20am today, officers from Inner West Police District Command arrested a 63-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a cameraman outside Newtown Local Court.”

Speaking after appearing in court, Mr Cooke said: “I did not deliberately upset him in any way and would not have done so. He is a good person. I met him at an event and gave him a card.”

Mr Cooke said in written correspondence he “suggested some events that might be of interest” and that it was “not threatening in any way”.

He has not been charged with a criminal offence.

The 22-year-old actor has been studying international relations and political economy at the University of Sydney since last year.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit is known to have an incurable lung disease and her condition has worsened in recent months. Speaking about his daughter earlier this week, Crown Prince Haakon said: “She wants to come home as soon as possible, and this is related to our family situation.”

“He wants to be with his mother,” he told Norwegian reporters during a three-day official visit to Japan.
