Fire Breaks Out in 12th-Floor Flat of Noida High-Rise, Building Evacuated

Noida:A fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of a high-rise residential society in Sector 75 on Friday morning, following which the building was evacuated as a precautionary measure, officials said. The incident took place in the Ivy County community in Sector 75 around 8 am.

Flames coming out of an apartment on the 12th floor of a 28-storey building grew rapidly, creating thick black smoke that could be seen from surrounding areas.

The official said that upon notice, police and fire brigades came to the scene and started working to control the fire.

After the fire broke out, citizens evacuated the building using the stairs.

Police stated that the entire building was evacuated and those living in the surrounding apartments were moved to a safe area as a precaution.

Authorities said no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.

While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, more detailed information is awaited.
