Taylor Swift Releases Original ‘Toy Story 5’ Song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’

washington: Pop icon Taylor Swift released a new song titled ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ from ‘Toy Story 5’ on Thursday. While sharing his childhood video, the singer also expressed his love for the ‘Toy Story’ series. Swift posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram account as the single was released, which included a throwback home video of herself as a little girl walking around wearing a red cowboy hat and a shirt embroidered with boots. Taylor Swift wrote: “Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and felt like second nature at the same time. And being a @toystory kid since I was 5 is an adventure I plan on joining infinity and beyond.”

He added, “Thank you to the wonderful Andrew Stanton for imagining me for this all those years ago when I was writing this new movie. Thank you to the incomparable @randynewmanofficial for the amazing sonic tapestry of songs and notes you have meticulously woven over the years. You created the Toy Story musical world and we are lucky to be able to live in it. By we, I mean myself and my friend @jackantonoff. We wrote this with great admiration. The things that made us laugh throughout our childhood, helped us learn lessons, and the backyard.” These characters help us think outside the box.”

The track was co-produced and written by Swift and Jack Antonoff, who returns to that chair for the first time since “Department of Tortured Poets.” In ‘Toy Story 5’, Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will reprise their iconic roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. The movie is about the popular toy group competing to attract children’s attention with a new tablet called Lilypad. ‘Toy Story 5’ will be released in theaters worldwide on June 19, 2026.
