Two teens ‘sexually assaulted’ in Nottingham city centre as police appeal for witnesses | UK | News

Police have launched an investigation following allegations that two young girls were sexually assaulted in the center of a major UK city. Nottinghamshire Police said the incidents are alleged to have occurred at around 11pm on Thursday, June 4.

In a statement on Friday, police also said the alleged sexual assaults were believed to have occurred in the Old Market Square area of ​​Nottingham city centre. A cordon was set up in Norfolk Place amid the probes, police said.

A police statement said the young people are now supported by specialist officers and detectives continue to work with them to investigate the reports.

Detective Inspector Beth Sheard, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Public Protection Unit, said: “We know these incidents are very worrying and I want to reassure victims and the public that we are doing everything we can to investigate these reports.

“Our investigation is currently ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information to call Nottinghamshire Police immediately.”
