Multiple people shot near Old West End Festival in Toledo, police say

Multiple people were shot Saturday near a festival in Toledo, Ohio, as police searched for a suspect, authorities said.
The Toledo Police Department said officers responded to a report of a shooting near Delaware Avenue and Glenwood Avenue near the Old West End Festival around 5:37 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
Authorities did not immediately disclose the number of injured or provide details about the severity of the injuries.

“Multiple victims were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment,” police said in a press release.
Investigators said they are actively searching for the suspect or suspects involved.
Residents and visitors are asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
