Sigma Secures Export Contract Valued At Rs 208 Cr

Hyderabad: Sigma Advanced Systems (Sigma) has signed an export contract worth $21.9 million (approximately Rs 208 crore) for the production and supply of 40,000 155 mm M107 artillery shell casings to a customer in North America.

The contract will run for six months. This new order marks an expansion of Sigma’s ammunition capabilities, transitioning from a fuze manufacturer to a full artillery shell component production manufacturer. The necessary export permit was obtained from the Ministry of Defense Production (DDP).

“This contract reflects international customers’ confidence in India’s defense manufacturing ecosystem and Sigma’s ability to deliver products at scale. Manufacturing artillery shell casings requires deep expertise in metallurgy, precision engineering, process control and quality assurance,” said Sunil Kalidindi, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, Sigma.

In the statement, it was stated that although the company has established relationships with global aerospace and defense OEMs, this interaction strengthens its reputation as an international production partner in the defense sector.

With production anchored in India and participation in international defense programs continuing to grow, Sigma continues to focus on expanding its global footprint while contributing to India’s emergence as a defense manufacturing hub.
