India is France’s official partner for VivaTech next week, positioning itself as global leader in AI, digital innovation

India is set to make a decisive presence as an Official Partner Country at Viva Technology (VivaTech) 2026 in Paris, reaffirming its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence, digital innovation and technology-driven development, to coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France next week.

Led by the Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), India’s participation in VivaTech 2026 as the Official AI Partner Country will showcase the country’s leadership in AI, Digital Public Infrastructure and population-scale innovation.

According to people familiar with VivaTech, India will bring together government, industry, investors and startups to foster global partnerships, attract investments, promote technology exports and strengthen India-France cooperation in a people-centric, inclusive and sustainable manner through the largest national pavilion at VivaTech 2026.

India’s entry will be presented under the theme “Technology for Humanity”, showcasing the country’s vision of technology that empowers citizens, fosters participation, solves challenges at scale and creates global impact while adhering to human values.


VivaTech, planned to be held in Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, France, between 17-20 June, is Europe’s largest startup and technology event, bringing together more than 180,000 visitors, more than 80 startups, more than 400 speakers and participants from more than 170 countries.
As the Official AI Partner Country of VivaTech 2026, India aims to showcase its innovation ecosystem, attract global investments, promote technology exports and foster international partnerships that foster sustainable growth and shared prosperity, according to the people cited above. The India Pavilion will bring together eminent dignitaries, senior government leaders, policy makers, investors, industry leaders, startup founders and technology innovators from India and around the world. India’s participation is expected to include the presence of leading voices from government, science, research and industry, including Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

The India Pavilion will also showcase India’s vibrant innovation ecosystem with the participation of leading unicorns, fast-growing startups and technology companies representing sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, DefenseTech, SpaceTech, HealthTech, DeepTech, SaaS, ClimateTech, Mobility, Robotics and Cyber ​​Security, highlighting India’s growing leadership in next-generation technologies and innovation.

The involvement of DPIIT, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and Ministry of Education will further showcase India’s whole-of-government approach towards innovation, digital transformation and emerging technologies.

India’s participation in VivaTech 2026 closely aligns with the India-France Year of Innovation 2026 and is expected to further deepen the strategic cooperation between the two countries in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship, research and advanced technologies.

A defining symbol of this vision is the India Pavilion logo, which features the Tree of Life integrated with digital circuitry design.
