Trump’s attendance at Knicks-Spurs Game 3 triggers increased security
Major security preparations are underway for Game 3 of the NBA Finals in New York City due to Donald Trump’s planned attendance. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries criticized Trump’s visit. The NYPD and Secret Service implemented a “freeze zone” around Madison Square Garden, which led to fan advisories and a no-bag policy. “I really tried to relax,” Wembanyama said. “The playoffs are a whirlwind. It’s hard to keep your head above water, and sometimes it feels like I don’t even have to watch the game.
“I just need some rest, let my brain cool down and heal; heal for my body as well as my mind.”
Knicks star Jalen Brunson led New York with 32 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds. Alvarado came off the bench and scored 4 points in 12 minutes.
