A truck accident has caused a complete carriageway closure on a section of a major highway. The southbound M6 road between J35 and J34 in Lancashire was closed following a HGV collision that stabbed all three lanes on Wednesday morning.

National Highways said the incident, which began shortly after 10.15am, resulted in a complete road closure while emergency services attended, with a reported fuel leak further complicating the scene. Following the incident, police and emergency services teams were dispatched to the scene.
