Someone is marking a huge ‘8647’ into the grounds of the National Mall in DC

Authorities responded to a large trail of term 8647 on the grounds of the National Mall in Washington, DC, on June 11, 2026. A Reuters photographer captured the view from atop the Washington Monument on the Mall lawn shortly before authorities arrived. Although the 4 was not fully formed, the arrangement of the numbers was clearly an attempt to represent 8647.
