‘It’s three against one. It doesn’t feel right’: Inside fresh Little Mix feud, why Perrie Edwards has ‘cut out’ Jesy Nelson AGAIN after truce… and why she’s only bandmate not invited to her wedding

In an intimate yet lavish ceremony in the picturesque Algarve, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock will watch Perrie Edwards marry her footballer boyfriend under the Portuguese sun.
But while they’ll be celebrating in style this weekend, one person in particular will be absent from the proceedings, their former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson.
Because Jesy will be home and looking after her beloved twin daughters, who suffer from an extremely rare genetic neuromuscular disease.
Indeed, the lives of the once very successful girl group couldn’t be more different. The group, which rose to fame together on The X Factor in 2011, disbanded in 2022. The split led to a bitter row following Jesy’s desire to go solo in 2020.
Tensions eased earlier this year after Jesy announced that her twins, Ocean and Story, were born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and would likely never walk. Their father later announced that he had split from his ex-fiancée, Zion Foster. The girls have rallied around their former bandmate, with Jesy revealing in January that the singers had reached out to support her following her shocking and life-changing diagnosis.
However, the ceasefire did not last long. The Daily Mail now understands Jesy’s hopes of a reconciliation were derailed by the release of Amazon documentary Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, which came out in February and reopened old wounds.
“It’s been a long time so far,” one of Jesy’s colleagues tells the Daily Mail. ‘You thought the other Little Mix girls would be nice to her by now.
‘It feels like there are some gangs going on here because it’s three against one. This doesn’t feel right.”
Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set to marry in Portugal this weekend
But while Perrie celebrates in style this weekend, one person in particular will be absent from the proceedings: former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson
Little Mix rose to fame together on The X Factor in 2011 but split in 2022 due to Jesy’s desire to go solo in 2020.
The documentary series, which chronicles Jesy’s struggles in the group, appears to have angered the other girls and brought out feelings of hostility surrounding her departure in 2020 after nine years.
When Jesy left, she revealed that the pressure of being in the band had taken a toll on her mental health.
He took a swipe at his bandmates and added: ‘I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy.’
Perrie, 32, Jade, 33, and Leigh-Anne, 34, continued as a trio before eventually splitting up to pursue solo projects.
The three remain close friends, frequently gushing over each other in interviews and supporting each other at gigs – but they’ve certainly made it clear they still have an ongoing feud for Jesy.
Sources told the Daily Mail that after Jesy left the group, an ‘obvious PR campaign’ was launched to ensure the trio came out of this negative situation on top.
Leigh-Anne accused ex-friend of ‘blackfishing’ in 2021 [trying to appear black through hair and makeup] In the leaked messages with the phenomenon NoHun in the music video of Jesy’s solo hit Boyz.
This turned into the biggest showbiz scandal of the year, with Leigh-Ann, Perrie and Jade’s friends creating a media backlash against Jesy.
‘Poor Jesy is out there all alone; ‘He always felt like the odd one out and it was hard for him,’ the source said.
‘You’d think the others would want to bury the hatchet for what happened to their babies. Unfortunately this no longer seems possible.’
Indeed, appearing on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast on Wednesday, Perrie revealed she had completely cut “difficult” Jesy out of her life. He told Jamie there was little chance of the four of them getting back together because Jesy had ‘upset and hurt me irrevocably’.
The singer accused her former bandmate of failing to take responsibility for the actions that led to her leaving the band and claimed that after watching Jesy’s documentary she realized she ‘didn’t have the capacity for someone like that in my life anymore’.
Tensions with her former bandmates eased earlier this year after Jesy revealed the shock news that her twins Ocean and Story were born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Perrie revealed she cut ‘difficult’ Jesy out of her life completely because she ‘upset and hurt me irreversibly’.
He said: ‘The thing that bothers me the most, and I have to be careful how I say this because I don’t want to sound like a jerk again, but for me the thing that upsets me the most is when situations like this happen and the other person doesn’t take any responsibility. ‘This makes my blood boil.’
He continued: ‘You can only hold someone so many times before you start to lose your own sanity.’
Jesy claimed in her documentary that she felt unsupported during her mental health struggles while in the band. He claimed that this alienated him from others; Perrie denied this in a chat with Jamie.
‘Don’t put the blame on me and don’t make me out to be someone I’m not. Yes, I’m not perfect and I may not have been there enough or I could have done better.
‘But I thought what I did was enough.’
While Jesy has not yet responded to Perrie’s comments, her older sister Jade published a long statement on Instagram and told her followers that Jesy has been ‘going to hell and back for years’. He claimed he spoke out because he was ‘tired of the lies and accusations’ about his brother.
Jade added that her sister had attempted suicide twice: first in 2013 and then again in 2020, days before she left Little Mix.
Jade’s comments will no doubt be talked about around Perrie’s wedding to Celtic FC footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this weekend.
Perrie and Alex, who was previously with former One Direction star Zayn Malik, got engaged in 2022 after five years of dating. They share four-year-old sons Axel and four-month-old Alanis.
While Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne reunite and celebrate in Portugal, Jesy will be left out in the cold once again.
