Osmania General Hospital Hosts Transgender Health Awareness Program During Pride Month

Hyderabad:As part of Pride Month celebrations, an awareness program on Trans Health and Trans Gender Inclusive Healthcare was held at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad. The program was organized by Queer Bandhu Parent Association and Hyderabad Archdiocese Social Service Association in collaboration with Osmania General Hospital.
The program aimed to raise awareness about the health needs of transgender people and strengthen inclusive health services for transgender people.
Ms. Mukunda Mala, founder president of Queer Bandhu Parents Association, expressed her gratitude to the Superintendent of Osmania General Hospital for his commitment to providing inclusive healthcare services. Head of the Department of Endocrinology, Professor Dr. K. Neelaveni held an information meeting on the benefits, side effects and precautions regarding GAHT (Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy). Yanık, Professor and Head of Plastic, Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery. Palukuri Lakshmi shared valuable information about transgender healthcare and gender-affirming medical services.
Organizers expressed gratitude to Osmania General Hospital for its support in improving healthcare access and inclusion for transgender communities.
