Burglars steal 550 liquor bottles at a Tasmac outlet near Arani

Thieves seized 550 liquor bottles, estimated to cost around ₹50,000, from the Tasmac outlet in Pazhanjur village near Tiruvannamalai’s Arani town on Friday.
Police said outlet salesman S. Ravichandran, 38, opened the store around noon. The person who entered the shop saw that a hole had been opened in the wall to enter the shop.
Police said staff at the outlet found several liquor bottle racks stolen. The hard drives of the CCTV cameras installed in the sockets were also missing and the cameras were damaged. They immediately alerted the Arani Town police. Police are examining security camera footage on the route where the shop is located. A case has been registered and investigation is ongoing.
