Man’s body found in Parramatta River at Concord, girl missing
A man’s body has been found and a child is missing after a boat was found adrift on the Parramatta River in Sydney’s inner west.
Emergency services were called to Bayview Park in Concord just before 11.45am following reports that a man’s body was found in the water.
NSW Police said officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were told the man was seen on a small boat with a teenage girl shortly before his body was found.
They said the girl was about six or seven years old and could not be found.
The man has not been officially identified.
The police dispatched her to the scene and started an investigation to find the girl.
“More specialist resources have been requested to assist with the search,” NSW Police said.
