If you can’t beat them join them! American surprised by bagpipe-playing Scottish fans at 6.30am gives in and goes to share a few beers with them

An American man, who shared viral footage of Scottish football fans playing bagpipes at 6.30 in the morning, improved relations between the two countries by offering them beer.
This week, Mike Morrison, director of communications for hospitals in Boston, Massachusetts, woke up to find that the house across the street had been transformed into a corner of Scotland and furnished in Saltires.
Members of the Tartan Army arrived at the property ‘midnight’ on Wednesday before delivering a musical show to the neighborhood early the next day.
The group are just some of the Scottish fans who have flocked to the North-East American state in recent days ahead of tonight’s opening match.
Approximately 30,000 infantrymen purchased tickets for the matches, and another 20,000 soldiers traveled to the United States to be there while the tournament was ongoing.

The band went viral after Mr Morrison shared footage of the piper, identified as Lewis, on social media on X, celebrating their newfound fame with nothing but the man himself.
On Friday he shared a cheerful photo of himself with his new – temporary – neighbors on social media again, informing his followers: ‘I contacted the Scots and was offered a World Cup beer at 8am. ‘I wish I had a day off.’

Members of the Tartan Army arrived at the Massachusetts property ‘at midnight’ on Wednesday, decked it out with Scottish flags and treated the neighborhood to a musical show early on Thursday.
Last night he shared a photo of himself crossing the street with a can of beer in his hand, adding ‘Viva Scotland’ and today he even prepared the group breakfast.
Speaking to Men In Blazers, Mr Morrison said: ‘It was breathtaking to see these majestic creatures in the wild outside their native habitat.’
He explained: ‘It was actually my wife who woke up in the morning and realized that a house across the street had completely transformed into a distant Scotland.
‘Behold, the children came out, and one of them took out some overalls and began to wail. Of course you know I’m going to put this on Twitter.
‘I got a few text messages from my friends saying, man, you’re blowing up.’
The video shared by Mr Morrison showed three men outside their Airbnb, one wearing a kilt and taking a selfie, the other playing a traditional Scottish instrument.
A Scottish flag flies from an upstairs window, while national flags adorn the wooden fence at the front of the property.
Despite the early hour, Mr Morrison admitted he enjoyed the show and welcomed the band ‘wholeheartedly’, adding: ‘Only positive vibes. We love having them here!’

Describing the moment he was reunited with the Scots, he said: ‘Over 24 hours later I pulled into my driveway and they pulled into their driveway across the street a few minutes later.
‘So I pointed at them and said, ‘What’s up?’ I said. They pointed at me, and one of those guys pointed at me, and it was all hugs and slaps on my back, and I said: “You guys are famous.”
‘The first thing out of their mouth was: ‘Can we get you a beer?’
She added: ‘I didn’t know I would fall in love with Scotland overnight.’
Mr Morrison urged his followers to support Craig Ferguson, another Scottish fan who completed a massive 3,200-mile walk across the US to raise money for the charity Scottish Action for Mental Health.
Mr. Ferguson was greeted with applause at the finish line when he arrived in Boston this week, having completed his entire journey wearing a kilt.
His epic journey has raised more than £1 million so far.
